This two-piece shakuhachi has a very easy accessible otsu and kan register, and excellent tuning make this a great flute to start out with. Also capable of the dai-kan range. The flute has a average weight of ca. 420g and with its dark, muddled bamboo and urushi coloured patterns has a distinct look. The bamboo has some hairline cracks and protective bindings have been added and covered in the traditional way with rattan and urushi. Due to the bindings and visual imperfections of the bamboo the price is reduced.
This shakuhachi can be used for various styles and genres e.g. honkyoku, sankyoku and min’yō.

The shakuhachi comes with a protective utaguchi cap and a carrying bag. (see pictures)
