The shakuhachi has excellent dimensions and its light to medium weight make it a joy to hold and play. Overtone rich tonal colours, in otsu as well as in kan, accessible dai-kan, tuning, right balance and overall responsiveness complement each other and make this a very capable flute.
Joint metal rings with traditional rattan bindings and a soma patterned bamboo give this shakuhachi also a distinct visual appearance. This shakuhachi can be used for various styles and genres (e.g. honkyoku, sankyoku, min’yō).
The shakuhachi comes with a protective utaguchi cap and a carrying bag. (see pictures)
