Strong, solid piece of madake bamboo gives the shakuhachi a tone with a full body and excellent range of tonal colours. A round, solid otsu, as well as kan register and dai-kan (3.octave) up to ro (4. octave)

Joint with traditional metal rings and decorative rattan binding. Round, straight piece of bamboo, comfortable to hold. The bamboo has subtle pattern towards the root and beautiful shaped root end. This shakuhachi can be used for various styles and genres, particularly suited to honkyoku and equally to modern/contemporary music too.

The shakuhachi comes with a protective utaguchi cap and a carrying bag. (see pictures)
