Solid piece of madake bamboo gives the shakuhachi a tone with a full body and great range of tonal colours. Easy accessible kan register and has been tested to full dai-kan too. (i.e. ‘D’ in dai-kan). The bamboo has a beautiful pattern and beautiful root end, and at 350g is comfortable to hold too. This shakuhachi can be used for various styles and genres (e.g. honkyoku, sankyoku, min’yō).
The shakuhachi comes with a protective utaguchi cap and a carrying bag. (see pictures)
